Canine influenza is still a relatively new virus and vaccination is not widespread, so most dogs will be susceptible to infection.

Now there's a test to diagnose and identify strains of canine influenza virus. PCR test is used to detect virus nucleic acid. It is one of the most reliable tests for the diagnosis of canine influenza – its accuracy reaches 99%!

You'll get a swab kit for an easy nasal and/or pharyngeal sample collection, that can be performed at home, ideally within one to two days of the onset of clinical signs.
